Liminality by Petr Shevchenko

0,00 €

As part of its ongoing collaboration with Domus Art Gallery, Okupa presents Liminality, the fourth exhibition in its rotating series of contemporary art activations.

Featuring new paintings and sculptures by Petr Shevchenko, Liminality explores the space between recognition and uncertainty. Using symmetry and repetition, Shevchenko creates forms that reference the body, plants and architecture without fitting neatly into any one category. The exhibition looks at how we recognise and interpret what we see.

Description

Petr Shevchenko works across painting and sculpture, exploring the space between recognition and ambiguity. His forms remain in a state of becoming, drawing on organic and constructed structures without settling into a fixed meaning.

Central to his practice is transformation as both a visual and metaphysical process. Through symmetry, repetition and material exploration, he creates works that invite sustained looking and open-ended interpretation.
